- When you undergo scar revision, Dr. Beaty will determine if local or general anesthesia is needed for you. Different types and sizes of scars require different treatment. Scar revision may require surgery, topical treatments, injectable treatments, or surface treatments like dermabrasion and laser therapy.
- Healing Process:
- After scar revision surgery, a patient may encounter swelling, discomfort, or discoloration. This should subside within a couple of weeks. The scar will continue to fade over time.
