Portrait Skin Resurfacing

Portrait Skin Resurfacing is a non-invasive procedure designed to reverse the signs of aging by delivering nitrogen plasma energy onto the skin’s surface.

How Does It Work?

The Portrait system transfers nitrogen plasma energy onto the skin through a computer-controlled hand piece. Treatment is highly controlled, involving no direct contact or heat charring. Portrait Skin Resurfacing stimulates collagen growth for up to a year after treatment, improving skin texture and tone. PSR requires less down time than laser treatments with comparable results.

Am I A Good Candidate?

The best candidates for PSR are those seeking slightly tighter skin with improved pigmentation and reduced wrinkles and fine lines.

Procedure Details:
Dr. Beaty transmits nitrogen plasma energy throughout your face with a computer-aided hand piece. A full-face treatment of Portrait Skin Regeneration takes 30-45 minutes. Unlike most skin rejuvenation techniques, PSR does not ablate the skin. Delivering energy in this manner preserves your skin’s outer layers so they may act as a protective dressing while new skin regenerates. You will look refreshed and vibrant soon after treatment!
Healing Process:
Although all normal activities may be resumed after PSR treatment, it may take between 5 to 14 days before you are comfortable without makeup. Mild redness and skin flaking will occur after low-level treatment. High energy PSR requires at least 1 week of downtime. After high energy PSR, the outer layer of skin browns and sheds 3 to 5 days post-procedure. Pigmentation will even out as your skin regenerates. Improvements such as smoother skin texture and diminished wrinkles are noticeable shortly after treatment. Results may continue for up to a year.
Cost:
Low energy PSR costs $1500. Generally a series of low-energy treatments is recommended. Alternatively, high energy treatment costs $3000.
